John A. Hunter is a Subject Matter Expert with Asset Performance Networks, specializing in planning and scheduling. He leverages more than 40 years of experience in both upstream and downstream operations across the oil & gas, petrochemical, and LNG industries.
John is one of the industry’s foremost experts on schedule analysis. Since joining AP-Networks, he has helped numerous clients review and enhance their turnaround and project schedules. In addition to offering guidance on specific schedule attributes—such as man power loading, interconnections, and float levels—he also helps companies achieve buy-in from site personnel. By motivating site personnel to update schedules frequently during execution, John enables companies to achieve the maximum benefit from their schedules.
Prior to joining AP-Networks, John worked as a Principal Planning Engineer with M.W. Kellogg for more than 20 years. Later he started his own consultancy, working with ExxonMobil for over 15 years. In addition to performing numerous “Cold Eye” performance evaluation reviews for the company, John helped project and turnaround teams establish and implement realistic operations plans.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Organization from Heriot-Watt University.
