Craig Small is a Senior Consultant with Asset Performance Networks, based out of the company’s office in Houston, Texas. He leverages a background of more than 19 years in turnarounds, maintenance, and reliability to provide expert guidance to both upstream and downstream companies.

Craig has worked in a diverse array of industries that includes chemicals, plastics, acetates, pharmaceuticals, emulsions, and utilities. His wide range of experience allows him to approach challenges from the perspective of an owner as well as a contractor. Since joining AP-Networks, Craig has executed Turnaround Assist Programs (T-AP), Integrated Turnaround Assist Programs (iT-AP), Experience Augmentations (EA), and other AP-Networks services. In addition, Craig has utilized his expertise with work process development to help upstream and downstream sites develop risk assessment and mitigation plans.

Prior to joining AP-Networks, Craig worked as the Global Turnaround and Maintenance Manager at Celanese. In this role, he developed and implemented standardized work processes for both turnarounds and maintenance operations. He also implemented global metrics and best practices, driving the organization to achieve world-class performance in maintenance and turnarounds.

Craig holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. He is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Root Cause Analysis Leader.
