Bart de Weert is a Senior Consultant with Asset Performance Networks, based out of the company’s office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Bart has spent almost 20 years in projects and turnarounds, both in operational positions as project manager and in consulting roles. His experience extends to both upstream and downstream operations, with a focus on multidisciplinary team integration and process design and optimization.
Prior to joining AP-Networks, Bart worked as a self-employed project manager and turnaround consultant for nearly a decade, where he was contracted by several major petrochemical and power companies, including Shell, E-On, and Total. This followed ten years working as a project and turnaround consultant for a major consulting firm.
Throughout his career, Bart has been involved in the development and implementation of various work processes and work management tools. He has designed, restructured, and optimized work planning and scheduling processes, work management systems, training materials and protocols for maintenance and operations crews, maintenance plans, a tool for project portfolio management, and a global SAP system. In addition to these efforts, Bart has overseen a diverse range of projects and turnarounds from initiation through post-event evaluation.
Bart holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
